It's been a lovely warm autumn in Southland. I just checked out a potential new site, heaps of willows there and heard some major buzzing coming out of them......covered in wasps. They're all over the willows, getting some dew of them. I've only seen it that extreme once before, years ago and also a warm autumn, the wasps were getting the dew of the eucalyptus trees. We also had some farmers ring up and ask to get rid of the wasps, which we happily do. Luckily the hives are strong and haven't seen any impact from wasps on them......yet!
