NZBF: bee hive bases

Hi Debbie,
You’ll need to be more specific. Do you mean hiveware and get the bees separately? Or do you mean complete hives?
If you mean complete hive the best option is often nucs (cheaper) then grow from there.
But if you’re an absolute beginner try;
1. finding a local club or keeper for support/advice.
2. Read the NZ bee keeping book.
3. Get registered.
4. And have fun, but expect some loses in the early stages. It’s a steep learning curve.
