It is more than a little ironic that the testing is being done to the MPI standard. It would be interesting to know how many would have passed the 3-in-1 testing (albeit a third failing their MGO rating) and even leptosperin that the UMFHA have long championed.
Given the current news, the headlines are rather slanted given that the term manuka honey does not enjoy any protection for NZ honeys.
Still, I hope it serves its marketing & education point
