Stella is one of our Main Movers ..... a 500hp Detroit Ford Sterling with a payload of 10,000kg. She's a grunt with an 18speed road ranger and a wicked jake brake. Two beeyards bgive us a full load for the run home. The other day she went Bang. Parked her up one night and gave her a sweet goodnight kiss, and the next morning the FiveHundred horses had a death rattle . We got the Doctor up to poke and prod ..... but to no avail. So I got in another doctor. He likes to hunt, so after he has poked and proded Stella, he heads into the hills and finds something for the freezer. He's been up several times now. His freezer is full, but Stella is still growing a weed garden under her belly. He came up again tonight with a Detroit pressure pump to pressurize the fuel system, but still she would'nt cooperate and fire up. So we got out the 13ml sockets and took the rocker cover off to check injector function. It's a dirty job, and as soon as you start to get your hands really grubby , you need to look at how many dollar coins you got in the kitty to cover it all. Thankfully we have quite a few ferals running around in the hills. What was not good was the zero current to the injectors ..... so we are making progress . Something is a miss in the ECU ..... possibly .... or the rats have chewd out a wire in the dash. Machines Eh. Yesterday the Bobcat packed a saddy. Blew a leak in the hydraulic system and spewed 10 litres of oil on the yard and sulked for the rest of the day..... Must be time for tea ...... but the Misso is out looking for a Christmas tree . Happy Christmas eh !
