In short:

A honey bee-killing parasite has been detected in the state's Fleurieu Peninsula and at a second location in the Limestone Coast.
The latest discovery follows last week's detection at Salt Creek.

What's next?

The mites would have had some resistance to treatment when they got to Australia I guess. Too early to develop resistance to treatment in a year or so.

thats just rotten luck, to go through invasion stage with resistant mites is going to be bad. most other treatments do not handle invasion on that scale.
