We are having a discussion day on Friday the 27th May at Bruce Lowe’s 14 Morton Rd Aongatete Tauranga shed 1.00-4.00pm.
Mostly just a catch up and see how things are going.
Phil Edmonds from APINZ will be here to have a chat about a project (see below) he’s been working on for the industry.
“ApiNZ has recently received MPI and industry funding to put together strategy to respond to current challenges facing the apiculture sector.
The funding also extends to starting to implement recommendations made as part of this process.
The project is being funded on the basis that all industry players (not just ApiNZ members) are consulted and given a voice to express their thoughts on what needs to be done to improve the apiculture industry.
The project is being run by an independent research team, and Brendan Hoare, who is leading the engagement work is keen to seek the views of beekeepers.
He will also be able to share some results from an industry survey that has recently been sent out to NZ beekeepers and other industry partners.”
Some come along, everyone welcome and
let other beekeepers know.
Beers n barbie afterwards.
Dennis
