Historic: BOP Field Day - June 2002

Not so old as the 1926 NBA field day from the previous posting, but I used the Internet Wayback Machine to remind me of how I can keep good notes if I want to! Sadly, the accompanying photos were not archived.

Remember, this was a branch NBA field day, being held just 2 years after the introduction of varroa. And I see that @Dennis Crowley handled all the housekeeping matters admirably!

Yes. Here's some photos (from Frank Lindsay) of the NBA Conference, in Tauranga.

I think Mark's suit maybe came borrowed from Ted Roberts?

Andrew Matheson had made a surprise appearance that evening, returning from his work with the International Bee Research Assn. And Cliff Van Eaton is there with Andrew in one photo.

And Frances Trewby, who had been NBA President for the previous year. The industry owes her a debt of gratitude. It was not an easy time...
