I don't think I would put my hand that close to one of them. Those Centipedes are supposed to have one of the most painful bites in the animal kingdom.

Yup they do bite. It tried several times to remove my hand from my arm.

They used to live under the lids of hives in Tonga. It was kind of like grabbing a live electric circuit. I still shiver to think of it more than 40 years later.
