This part of a report to the NBA conference describes an optimistic hope for the sales of Manuka honey into the UK for manufacturing purposes.

It mentions 7d per pound for the sales. Average honey price at this time was 10.1d per pound...

I found some old records where my grandfather was receiving 3p per pound and I think this was at a time when they were paying 1p per pound seals levy.

LOL, way back in time when I was trying to build my business I did a spot of commercial fishing (no quotas needed back then you just jumped in a boat and went out and caught fish) I was getting 4 cents a pound for mullet.
