I wrote a series of articles for the NZ Bkpr magazine about 40 years ago. This was the first in a series of maybe 6 or 8 articles, before I ran out of material. The Editor, Trevor Walton, only ever received one letter relating to my columns, a letter saying how nice the woodcut illustrations were. That was the only part that I didn't do...

I'm sure someone very recently mentioned the wrapped blocks of honey- to an incredulous response.

I've been meaning to try to collect up all my old writings, but still back burner for now.

In the meantime, you can for sure find them all at http://beekeeping.nz/NZBDA/NZBkpr - all the NZ Bkpr magazines from 1914 to 2013. These "The Way We Used to Bee" articles were in the early 1980s...
