Visited LRC hives to pack down for winter. Did varroa and afb checks, removed honey supers, packed them to two box hives for winter .
Hive 1 has varroa. . Did drone checks on hives. Hive 1 found varroa in 2 / 4 drone cells inspected. Treated immediately.
Hive 1 looking healthy, lots of honey. 6 plus frames of brood. Closed entrance up to smaller entrance (hive doctor base) shuffled top box to bottom as 2frames honey around sides so better for winter.
Will complete baverol of both hives next week. As was short 2strips. Baverol in frames near entrance between 4 and 5 and 6 and 7 at front of frames.
Lots of wasps in area. Have lures out
