Hive 2 - a rescued swarm. Hive doctor base.
Was 2 brood and 1 super which had been wets from extraction.
Hive has more honey stores now than before but still low. Wets rebuilt out and some storage happening.
Strong laying queen. Tons of capped brood.
. Hive 2 no sign of varroa. Did drone cell checks on both hives. And zero varroa seen in hive two.
Hive 2. Tons of brood .. less than 4 frames honey. Added 2 frames of honey from next door hive after afb check. Put in 2 frame feeder frame and will add syrup next week. Could have added more honey but want to feed this hive so setup for feeding. Its struggled with food vs breeding.
Low levels of pollen stored but workers have been bringing it in for last week or so. Will observe to see if they continue to bring it in.
Possibly needs supplement.
I suspect brood levels are keeping stored pollen and nectar low. The queen is still laying strongly.
Many Wasps in area. Lures set out. It looks like multiple wasp nests as wasps fighting. Next door cleared recently and seen since then.
This hive needs feeding. Workers not keeping up collection with speed of laying Ithink.
