What is happening here? Bees congregating

Hey guys.

I am wondering why I have so much activity in my hive at the moment. It has been going on all day, and this photo was taken at 7.30pm. I closed the hive entrance in case it was robbing.

I got a good harvest off this hive early December. By early Jan they had almost filled it, but I am yet to do a second harvest.

i wonder if flows are tapering off and bees starting to seal up the hive.

btw i don't recommend closing up hives in this heat.

Normal. Bees testing for a way in. Tells you flow's stop, bees are bored, and to be very careful not to spark robbing.
