Yellow wattle, gorse and a wild small plum down here in Christchurch or are you after an identification on the photos?

thought it might be interesting to see whats about. Photos provide an easy way to identify what the flowers look like if you don,t know what they look like

First photo is a Pittosporum, not sure which species. Second is tree Lucerne.

Might be a Pittosporum Ralphii? Used to have one in our garden and I thought the flowers where a bit darker red, but very similar to the pic.

Kowhai and Five Finger flowering down here, Cherry Laurel about to start. Also Fuchsia just starting in the bush.

Kowhai, gorse, and wild cherry, I think.

I have been cutting gorse broom and blackberry in the Rugby paddock beside the school. I have seen 3 plants of broom in full flower, very early. i just hope the season is not as early.

Just yesterday we did see the first broom to start flowering down here, yes, very early!

Heaps flowering here. Spring is in full bloom and it’s only the first day. Bees were packing it in a week ago when I took these photos and it was warm. Been freezing for five days now in chch.
